Petra Coach - Strategy Coach
Gene Robertson has lived a life of constant goal setting and achievement. He loves to help people uncover the goals they need in life and business that will guide them in drawing closer to their purpose. A natural big picture thinker, he constantly asks the hard questions that get to the heart of the matter. When he rolls up his sleeves and begins dissecting a business problem no stone is left unturned and no sacred cow is left standing. He questions everything and everyone relentlessly until the problem is laid bare. But that is just the beginning of the process, from there he is skilled at leading in the rebuilding of the problem to turn it from a problem into a process for achieving the goal. Gene learned this relentless goal setting style early in life through attending an alternative school where grades and rewards were based entirely on setting and achieving da ily, weekly, quarterly and yearly goals. After graduating from high school Gene went on to a degree in History and Philosophy that further refined his ability to ask tough questions and uncover deep answers. After graduation he had 3 basic goals, learn a trade, build a business around it and retire from this business by age 35. With only two skills out of college, washing dishes and cutting grass, he chose to build a business around cutting grass. Through his goal setting and constant systemization he was able to take the simple skill of grass cutting and build a multi-million dollar business around it by age 35 and “retire” from it to pursue other interests. One of the tools he found along the way and implemented was the Rockefeller Habits methods for goal setting and long term planning. Now he is a constant evangelist of this strategic planning and goal setting process. Gene owns three landscape companies and has won many business awards including, Rookie of the Year, The All American Award, The All Star Award, he has achieved 4 diamonds in his Gold Ring Award, the GNAA Beautification Award, The Good Neighbor Award and the Million Dollar Club. He is an active member in the Nashville Chapter of EO, GNAA, BOMA and CAI. He was elected to the U.S. Lawns Advisory Council for 6 years and served as its chairman for 3 years.
