3 Quick PR Tips – Communicating

So, you’re a pretty good communicator, right? But how can you get maximum results?

It’s one thing to be a good communicator, but it’s another to be a communicator to get desired results – especially when it comes to your business.

So, what exactly are you communicating?

3 Quick PR Tips:

1. Giving back to the community. Many businesses miss the boat in terms of communicating how they are helping their community. Many don’t understand the correlation between the two. We’re here to tell you that by communicating what you’re doing to give back via social media, blog, newsletter and media, people can relate to your brand and really get a sense of what is important to your company. So, go ahead and share!

2. Newest, latest, coolest! Frequently, we meet with a new client and hear that they have the newest, latest and coolest (xyz) for example, however, they didn’t update their website or communication pieces with that information. In order to really get your message out, you have to be on top of your own internal updates. On average, it takes someone 6-8 times hearing from you to receive your message. Take advantage of the opportunity to reach out by sharing your newest, latest, and coolest.

3. Internal personality. People do business with people they like and trust. In many sales courses, the main rule is ‘Like, Trust, Buy’. This applies to practically every industry. Still, we find most businesses miss out on communicating about their internal personality. One simple thing you can do to connect with your target audience is to showcase your staff, their favorite things, and a little about their personal lives. By sharing your internal personality, you can more easily move to the ‘Like’ phase of your relationship. You might be surprised with the result you get!

These tips are easy to implement, virtually free, and can dramatically improve your business. Try implementing these three tips for your fourth quarter and measure the success it drives.
